Seminole Beef Branding

March 21st, 2008

Just read a recent annoucement by the Seminole Nation that they are going to be placing their Beef products in their Hard Rock Hotel and are moving forward with a specific product branding strategy to h!ave thier beef products available for Tribal Casino’s across the country as well as offering thier products to the Federal Government. This is exactly what Tribal enterpries across the country should be endorsing and not only carrying thier beef products but also the products of the many tribal enterprises that are registered on BIC as well. The ability to carry on such an integration strategy will only make our Tribal economy stronger and allow the growth of the Tribal market segment within the Tribal reservation economy. Most importantly, it also recognizes our ability to place quality products in the hands of the consumer, who is searching for quality products. We endorse the efforts of the Seminole Nation and other Tribal Nations and Tribal Nation citizens that are supporting Buy Indian Initiatives! Each transaction is a step in the right direction, make one happen today!

Tribal Economics

January 21st, 2008

Tribal Economics is a term that has escaped definition and has been interpreted as Indian Gaming. Today, a great deal has been written to unravel the facts that not all tribes have enjoyed the gaming success that is rooted in the obvious metropolitan markets across Indian country. Yet, the revenues that are generated are essential to nation building governmental services as well as job creation for Tribal Nation members across Indian Country. Tribes in remote areas become the principal employer of non-Tribal members as well; now, the horizon challenge of Indian Country is to buy from each other, Tribal Nations and Tribal entrepreneuers to respend and reinvest through partnership and participation.

BIC - The strength of the bound arrows!

January 21st, 2008

There is an story that has been told countless times to encourage reflection and response. The story: One can hold a single arrow and bend it to break with little effort; by adding more and more arrows you reach a point of strength where one can no longer break the bound arrows. This is the motivation of BIC; the only difference, the information on the available resources that exist throughout Indian Country is the arrows that we suggest should be bound together! Our desired outcomes; Tribal entrepreneurs and Tribal Nation enterpries to build a new market behavior of buying good and services from each other and for Tribal businesses to be discovered by corporate business,as well as federal and state agencies to fulfill their supplier diversity goals for goods and services. Buy Indian Country’s desired outcome is provide an information source that becomes the favorite resource for other business’s to utilize. We invite participation in BIC

When one looks at the efforts of Tribal Nations across Indian Country in Economic Development, the driving motivation has been to create revenue that will translate into jobs and better services for the Tribal Nation membership. Economic Development project success as been few and far for many tribes based on thier location to market and business development background and experience. The challenge is not impossible but does require strategic business development and the proper partnering to bring products to market in the mainstream economy. BuyIndianCountry.com

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BuyIndianCountry.com opens as an online database resource to connect American Indian Owned Businesses.

BuyIndianCountry.com’s strategic intent is to create an accessible resource to facilitate mutually beneficial relationships for American Indian Owned Businesses and those that desire to utilize American Indian Owned Businesses.

ONEIDA, WISCONSIN January 10th, 2008 – Artley Skenandore announces the grand opening of BuyIndianCountry.com, an online database website that catalogs American Indian owned businesses and resources. Artley Skenandore is the CEO and Chairman at Nature’s Way Tissue Corporation, an American Indian owned tissue, towel and napkin converter that is certified as a Wisconsin Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and the Wisconsin Supplier Development Council. Nature’s Way Tissue Corporation manufactures the one of a kind, environmentally friendly Purely Cotton bath and facial tissues.

BuyIndianCountry.com’s mission is to serve as a resource bridge to connect consumers and businesses to the wealth of opportunities that exist within Indian Country. The goal of BuyIndianCountry.com is straightforward. The site is designed to connect American Indian Owned Businesses with each other, tribal nations, corporate America, local, state and Federal governments.

BuyIndianCountry.com is setup so American Indian businesses and other tribal initiatives can submit their information. Once the information has been sent, it goes through a review to validate that all the information is valid and complete. The information is then posted in the site’s growing database of American Indian businesses. “We’ve created the medium to spread the word about all the great opportunities that exist in Indian Country.” Artley Skenandore, CEO of Nature’s Way Tissue Corporation. “Now we need every American Indian owned business and every Tribal nation company throughout Indian Country to go to the site and register their contact information. It’s a great opportunity to remind corporate America and tribes across the country of all the fantastic American Indian owned businesses.”

Mr. Skenandore knows BuyIndianCountry.com fulfills a crucial void in building a vibrant Tribal economy with Tribes looking to purchase from other Tribes. “Our biggest enemy is lack of knowledge of what is available to us today and how to partner and participate. The government has minority programs, corporate America has diversity spend and Tribes have Buy Indian initiatives. BuyIndianCountry.com gives American Indian businesses an outlet to let the country know they are out there and most can operate on a global scale. It’s a great time to get out there, register your company at the site and let the world know what you’re about.”

BuyIndianCountry.com is a free service for American Indian Owned business submitting their contact information.
